With three defenders trying to stay with him, Wright found a little space in the endzone and stretched to make a jaw-dropping catch with just one hand.
The teenager snared the ball with a backhand jump catch and held on for the touchdown from quarterback Dalton Motes.
Wright was able to hold onto it as he fell to the ground, and the play was posted by the NFL to X – where it was admired by three-time Super Bowl champion Mahomes.
The Kansas City Chief quarterback, 29, quote tweeted it with the caption: “Yooo what?!”, with three laughing-crying emojis.
As of Monday, the NFL video has racked up 7.4MILLION views on X.
Meanwhile, Mahomes’ reply has been liked over 50,000 times.
Broadcasters Tom Hart and Jordan Rodgers were also left shocked by the acrobatics on display as well.

“Tom, we have called a lot of games together. That is the best catch I have ever seen in-person,” Rodgers replied.
The touchdown wasn’t the only amazing catch Wright made in Saturday’s game.
In the second half, he made a back-shoulder reception down the right sideline, reaching back with his left hand while bracing himself against the turf with his right hand.
Wright is a name fans might be seeing plenty from in the near future in college football and perhaps the NFL someday.
He‘s on track to become the next Travis Hunter, the Heisman winner who can dominate as both a receiver and a defensive back.
Playing safety, Wright snared an interception while covering the middle of the field, helping to maintain the Jaguars’ 18-13 lead late in the second half.
The Jaguars went on to defeat the Ravens, 24-19, and advanced to Sunday’s championship round where they will face the Bills from Clifton Park, New York.
Wright is currently considered a four-star prospect by Rivals for the 2028 recruiting class out of Mandarin High School in Jacksonville, Florida.

At 6-foot-3.5 and around 210 pounds, Wright is incredibly physically advanced for his age.
The teenager has set the bar for what to expect from NFL players competing in flag football at the 2028 Summer Olympics in LA.
But Mahomes said in May that he’ll “probably leave flag football to the younger guys.”
But there has been speculation that Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts could participate after the NFL ran a commercial of him lighting the Olympic torch.
