A LEGENDARY discount retailer with over 3,000 stores has launched a mega 50-percent-off sale.
The super savings have been unlocked as another of the brand’s locations is closes down.

The Goodwill Store & Donation Center, off Austin Peay Highway, is shutting its doors for good on August 2.
But the store-wide discount is only running until July 26 – so shoppers need to act quickly to make the most of it.
A statement from Memphis Goodwill Inc. said: “Dear valued donors & shoppers.
“It is with heartfelt gratitude that we thank you for your years of patronage at our Austin Peay Store and Donation Center.
“Your generosity has truly changed lives in our community. As we prepare to close this location on August 2nd, please enjoy 50% off storewide, now thru July 26th.
“This discount excludes New Goods.
“Please consider visiting our Millington and Stage locations for your future needs.”
MORE GOODWILL CLOSURES
Goodwill also recently closed locations in California, including in Oakland and San Francisco.
As a result, at least 90 employees have been impacted by the closures from Goodwill of the San Francisco Bay (GSFB) in the state.
The Oakland location was found at 1301 30th Avenue.
The stores closed on June 7, and resulted in 72 employees losing their jobs.
The 750 Post Street Training and Career Center in San Francisco impacted a further 18 people.
All were offered opportunities to apply for roles at other Goodwill stores.
A spokesperson for Goodwill told The US Sun in April: “As Goodwill of the San Fransisco Bay looks ahead, we have made some adjustments to our existing footprint and structure to better position the organization for future growth plans in the coming years.
“GSFB is actively working to secure and open new future locations that will reflect larger, more efficient operational spaces, and an enhanced shopping and donating experience for our community.”
At least 13 Goodwill stores have closed in California this year, according to KRON-TV.
In its statement to The US Sun, Goodwill cited financial and logistical struggles as some of the reasons behind the closures.
Rodney Scearce, another Goodwill spokesperson, said: “While never an easy decision, became necessary to close a few store locations due to their size and operational limitations where store revenues were not enough to cover operational and personnel costs.”
But Scearce did note that Goodwill is sticking by its plans to open more stores in the Bay Area despite the closures.
