ROCHESTER, N.Y. – We’re back to Green on the Threat Tracker today, but it’s not going to be perfect. A cold front sweeps through today which will cause a few showers perhaps with a rumble of thunder from mid-morning through the afternoon, as well as some gusty winds that could be as high as 35 mph. Showers will produce only around a tenth of an inch of rain, and any storms that develop will be weak and move by quickly.
Besides the rain and wind, it will be another muggy day with dew points in the low 70s. Temperatures will peak in the mid 80s.
Behind the cold front, temperatures and especially humidity takes a big dip. Friday’s high temperatures will be in the mid 70s and dew points in the mid 50s, making for a VERY comfortable end to the workweek! Plenty of sunshine as well and light winds. Warmth and humidity tick back up a bit over the weekend, but will not be oppressive. Saturday starts out nice but may feature some showers in the afternoon, and Sunday will be the opposite, starting out with some showers but turning sunnier through the afternoon and evening.
