PENFIELD, N.Y. — The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office says two of their deputies were injured while responding to a call in Penfield Tuesday morning.
The sheriff’s office says at around 9 a.m. Tuesday, they responded to a report of a man running in the road on Creek Street who they say was experiencing a mental health crisis.
When deputies got there, they say he started fighting with deputies, who were able to detain him shortly after. As a result, two deputies suffered minor injuries and were brought to a local hospital for evaluation.
