This match, the Hibees have endured a robust pre-season schedule taking on MSV Duisburg (0-0) and Ajax (3-6) in the Netherlands, before celebrating our 150th Anniversary with a historic friendly against Rot-Weiss Essen, with the Hibees running out 3-2 winners on the night.

David Gray’s side have expend the last few days in the South Coast of England after being invited down to Bournemouth for a short training camp as we prepare for the beginning of the 2025/26 campaign.

After our match with Bournemouth, we host Bolton Wanderers at Easter Road in Darren McGregor’s Testimonial friendly match to conclude our pre-season preparations

 Lineups:

Bournemouth possible starting lineup:

Travers; Smith, Zabarnyi, Senesi, Truffert; Tavernier, Adams; Brooks, Kluivert, Semenyo; Evanilson

Hibernian possible starting lineup:

Sallinger; Miller, O'Hora, Bushiri, Obita; Newell, Levitt, Manneh; Mulligan, Boyle, Hoilett

It is the first pre-season of seven pre-season matches for AFC Bournemouth.

The Cherries host Hibs and then Bristol City both before travelling to America to play in the Premier League Summer Series later this month.

Andoni Iraola’s side  has finished ninth in the English Premier League last season – equaling their highest ever top-flight finish and picking up a club-record points total of 56 points.

This is the second time we have played The Cherries for the past two years. The sides last met during pre-season in July 2023, with Bournemouth running out 4-0 winners in Marbella.

Hibernian are ready more than  Bournemouth in terms of their preparations for the new campaign, but the Cherries may call upon so much quality, especially in the final third, and we are backing the Premier League club to edge an entertaining clash.
