ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Threat tracker is highlighting a storm threat with heavy rain as well as high heat for Wednesday with temps around 90 and the feel like Heat Index between 95 and 100 degrees. Everyone will be dealing with the heat and humidity midweek and parts of the region will see local storms bring very heavy downpours Wednesday afternoon. The main concern will be flash flooding from a few of those storms tomorrow.
Tuesday’s weather will start with some local fog and haze. The low clouds will burn off and lots of sunshine will be in the forecast today. Temps this afternoon will climb to near 90 degrees. Some wildfire smoke will be in the air once again today but at levels lower than Monday. Not a huge issue overall, but some minor air quality concerns will develop today at times.
Additional showers and storms with very humid weather continues into Thursday before the front clears the region. Much nicer weather arrives for Friday into the start of the weekend with cooler weather and less humid conditions for a couple days.
