FAIRPORT, N.Y. – Iron Smoke Distillery in Fairport hosted its first annual “Keep the Arts Alive” benefit concert on Sunday to support local artists.
The concert featured plenty of local musicians taking the stage. Owner Tommy Brunette says they’ve always been committed to helping local artists.
“Iron Smoke has been and always will be a supporter of the arts in our community,” he said. “We have local artists play here. We have local artists collaborate here in our labels for our bottles. We’re a very active supporter of the arts here in Rochester and beyond.”
All proceeds from the concert go towards the Genesee Valley Council of the Arts. The council has several programs in jeopardy after federal arts funding cuts.
