CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. – On Saturday at approximately 7:06 p.m., Canandaigua Police went to Parkway Plaza in Canandaigua for the report of a car crash involving two vehicles.
Police said 18-year-old Victor Giso of Caledonia was driving a 2015 Ford sedan west on Eastern Blvd and left the road, crossing the center median and through the eastbound lane of traffic, across a ditch and through the Parkway Plaza parking lot. He collided with a 2023 Jeep SUV, driven by 55-year-old John Quinn of Webster, who was stopped at a stop sign in the plaza.
Giso suffered critical life-threatening injuries and was taken to F.F. Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua and later transferred to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester by Mercy Flight. He remains in guarded condition.
Quinn had minor injuries, and his passenger, 52-year-old Katrina Busch of Webster, was not injured.
The investigation continues, but police believe Giso lost consciousness for an unknown reason before the crash.
