CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- One person is dead and five others are hurt after a mass shooting near an Uptown nightclub, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
Around 2 a.m. on Sunday, July 13, officers responded to reports of shots fired in the 300 block of North College Street. That's near The Hive on E. 6th Street.
When they arrived, they found one person with a gunshot wound who was pronounced dead at the scene. Three people were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening gunshot injuries, and two others transported themselves, officials said.
CMPD has not said whether they have identified a suspect or if anyone is in custody.
