An investigation was underway after a man was shot and killed at a gas station in Michigan City, Indiana, police said.
The shooting was reported before 1:26 a.m., when authorities received a 911 call about a person who had been shot at the BP gas station, 1302 E. Michigan Blvd. Officers from the Michigan City Police Department responded to the scene and found a 20-year-old man who had been shot, police said in a Facebook post.
First responders performed lifesaving measures on the victim, who was taken to an area hospital. He was later pronounced dead, authorities said.
Detectives have since collected evidence at the scene and interviewed multiple witnesses.
