Katie Taylor was given a frosty reception after being declared the winner of her rematch with Amanda Serrano.
Taylor and Serrano will meet in a record-breaking trilogy tonight in Madison Square Garden, as their rivalry takes another new chapter after the former’s previous two victories.

The Irish star has the upper hand right now having beaten Serrano in their initial bout in 2022 and in their 2024 sequel.
But their rematch, which was watched by 50 million people on the undercard of Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson, was shrouded in huge controversy.
Taylor came into the contest with Serrano having felt she’d done enough to win their opening bout.
But she was spurred on for revenge in front of a passionate crowd in Texas, and she came out all guns blazing.
It was once again a simply incredible fight with back and forths, twists and more drama in the opening stages.
Taylor was on the back foot early on with barrages of big punches from Serrano proving a real issue for the champion.
She managed to wrestle back a more controlled approach but made things scrappy.
And a head clash between Taylor and Serrano in the sixth saw a nasty cut open up for the Puerto Rican.
She survived a doctors’ check and things opened up further with big and explosive changes becoming the norm.

Serrano was spurred on and went on the assault late on despite blood pouring from her nasty cut.
But incredibly despite the verdict of many in the boxing fraternity, Taylor was declared the winner on the judges scorecards.
She was booed by the passionate crowd who simply couldn’t fathom what had unfolded.
Serrano was furious and was adamant that Taylor was ‘dirty’ in her tactics.
Taylor insisted she won, and their rivalry has become increasingly heated in the build-up to their third meeting.

She added: “Losing is never fun,”. But you only lose if you feel like you lost, and I didn’t feel like I lost.
“My team told me I didn’t lose, they’re proud of me, so I’m OK.
“Like Jake Paul says, turn that L into a W, and that’s what we’re gonna do come Friday night.”
