Anisimova defeated No.1 seed Aryna Sabalenka 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 in the semfinals, advancing to face either Iga Swiatek or Belinda Bencic in the women’s singles finals on Saturday.

Play was suspended during the first set after a fan was tended to during a medical emergency.
With sun taking over Centre Court, attendees waved fans, and a second person was later removed by umbrella-carrying security personnel.
The 23-year-old Anisimova is from New Jersey, and speaks English and Russian.
She topped Sabalenka 6-4 in a first set that almost lasted an hour.
