India men’s team lost the toss yet again, the third consecutive time that it has happened in the IND vs ENG Test series. Ben Stokes decided to bat first after winning the toss in ENG vs IND 3rd Test at the Lord’s. Not just in this series, but India have been losing tosses across formats for a long time now. In fact, the India men and women have lost 17 tosses already in 2025.
India lose toss, yet again
India men last won the toss when Suryakumar Yadav and co. squared off against England in Rajkot in Jnauary 2025. India women, led by Harmanpreet Kaur, last won a toss against Sri Lanka Women in May 2025. Both team combined have only own the toss on two occasions out 19 matches that they have played so far in 2025. India men, in particular, have now lost 13 consecutive tosses across format in 2025.
