As much as I love dedicated portable consoles like the Nintendo Switch 2 or the Lenovo Legion Go S, here's a secret: You can probably get by with just your phone. Far from the days of Fruit Ninja or Angry Birds, mobile games are now much more expansive than they used to be, with deep combat systems and large worlds to explore. Plus, there's game streaming, for playing console games on the go. The catch? For these larger experiences, touch controls get tiring quickly.

Razer Kishi Ultra Mobile Gaming Controller $149.99 Get Deal Get Deal $149.99

For Prime Day, you can get Razer's new Razer Kishi Ultra on sale for $50. There are a few reasons why that's worth paying attention to. The most noticeable is apparent just from looking at it. The Razer Kishi Ultra is big. While a lot of mobile controllers come with smaller sticks and buttons, and almost no grips, the Kishi Ultra is essentially like an Xbox controller split in two, turning your phone into something similar to the PlayStation Portal. That doesn't just make this more comfortable, but also a bit more robust—you'll be able to hold onto not just your phone with this, but also an iPad Mini.

Plus, there's the usual Razer flare, with optional Chroma RGB lighting around the edges of the controller. This controller also works with Razer's custom PC Remote Play service, which I got to try a bit at CES this year. Unlike other remote play options, this service automatically fits your games to your phone's aspect ratio, which can be a big plus—phones are often wider than the 16:9 aspect ratio many other remote play services are limited to.
