IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- Two men have been charged after the Iredell County Sheriff's Office says they shot fireworks at a home.
On Saturday, July 5, deputies were called to Buffalo Shoals Road after reports of people in a vehicle launching fireworks at a home. Deputy A. Leggett spoke with residents who said they knew who was involved.
12 people injured in multi-vehicle crash on I-77 near Davidson: NCDOTIn a security video shared by authorities, a car can be seen driving along Buffalo Shoals Road and shooting flaming ball fireworks from inside the vehicle. One of the fireworks then hits the roof and explodes, spreading sparks onto and around the home. Officials say this caused damage to the home.
The video also shows sparks shooting from the passenger-side window as the car drives by. Deputies were able to find and stop the car on Spicewood Circle. The driver, 23-year-old Randall Chance Millsaps of Hiddenite, and the passenger, 21-year-old Dalton Wayne McAlister of Troutman, were both arrested.
Iredell County Sheriff's Office Iredell County Sheriff's OfficeDeputies say that during the traffic stop, they had probable cause to search the vehicle, where deputies found fireworks, a launching tube and an open alcoholic container.
A female passenger in the car was also detained and charged with Misdemeanor Underage drinking. She was given an unsecured bond.

Felony Conspiracy Misdemeanor Possession of Pyrotechnics Misdemeanor Underage Aid/Abet Possess AlcoholMcAlister was given a $125,000 secured bond, and Millsaps a $50,000 secured bond. They have both since bonded out.
