The song is by the Canadian new wave band, Men Without Hats, and lead singer Ivan Doroschuk shared a new video on TikTok on July 8 in an effort to solve a decades-long mystery over one of the lyrics in the hit tune.

Ahhh... so she's not saying, "And sing," she's simply saying, "Danse," which is French for dance. That makes perfect sense!
After naming more bands who hopped on the trend in the '80s, he went on to say, "Since we had a legitimate claim to the language, I thought it'd be kind of cool, so... danse!"
It's always fascinating to hear the real stories behind songs, and from here on out, we will definitely "danse" whenever this tune comes on.
