TV Insider reported that the Rookie cast began filming season 8 in July 2025. According to the publication, the Season 8 premiere will air sometime in 2026.
"We went off to Prague to shoot a portion of the premiere episode of season 8. It felt like I was shooting Casino Royale. I'm in a suit," said Fillion during the interview.
"You're walking down these incredible streets. I love the history. These building were built in the 1800s, but behind it is the old buildings," said the actor.
"31 years in the business. It's probably the best time I've ever had," said the Superman actor.
"We try to make sure that we're not actually mistaken for a police officer," said Fillion.
"We've got these pros. These people who come to work and know exactly what they're doing," said the 54-year-old.
