The highlight of a tennis fan’s summer is here, with the 138th edition of Wimbledon now into the second week.

Carlos Alcaraz successfully defended his title at SW19 last year after beating rival Novak Djokovic in straight sets on Centre Court.

That came after the Spaniard overcame Djokovic in 2023 in a thriller, and now the pair are going for glory yet again this time around in what could be the tennis legend’s last appearance.

Jannik Sinner is involved in the battle for this Grand Slam too, after a fortunate fourth-round win over Grigor Dimitrov.

In the women’s singles, No.31 seed Barbora Krejcíkova beat Jasmine Paolini to surprisingly win her first title at Wimbledon last year.

Krejcíkova is already out this year, leaving Aryna Sabalenka the favourite to end her wait for a Grand Slam title at SW19.

There have been plenty of shocks throughout the tournament so far, with Coco Gauff‘s surprise first-round exit one of them.
