First Alert Weather: Yellow alert for localized flooding ...Middle East

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – A moisture laden atmosphere and a slow-moving cold front are a perfect receipt the potential localized downpours.  Thus far, it has been portions of Orleans County and the Finger Lakes seeing these slow-moving thunderstorms and the immediate Rochester area may see very little rainfall today.  There certainly could be some lightning and gusty winds, but the greatest threat appears to be localized flooding and ponding on area roadways.  This front will gradually move from west to east into this Monday evening.  This will take the storms into Central New York and end the threat for the th area.  In addition, as the front passes the temperature and humidity will lower bringing more comfortable weather for Tuesday and Wednesday.
