News by : (Parade) -

“Wow!! What an EVENT!! Extremely overwhelming!! Really great crowd!! Was very emotional for everyone!! MET OZZY!! (Crazy we'd never met b4!!) He was really great!! Was great to meet Sabbath!!” Rose shared in a post via X on July 6. “Was hard as l imagine for anyone to watch his struggles while at the same time everyone was rooting for him n' massively respecting the challenges he took head on n' HE DID IT!!!”

Rose took the stage with Slash, bass guitarist Duff McKagan and new drummer Isaac Carpenter to perform a six-song set that included four Black Sabbath covers. Izzy Stradlin and Steven Adler, two original members from the Appetite for Destruction era of Guns N’ Roses, were not present. Along with Black Sabbath’s “It’s Alright,” “Never Say Die,” “Junior’s Eyes” and “Sabbath Bloody Sabbath,” Guns ‘N Roses also played their hits “Welcome to the Jungle” and “Paradise City” for the crowd.

“Unfortunately, we've come to our final song – ever,” the “Crazy Train” artist said. “I just want to say to you on behalf of the guys in Black Sabbath and myself, your support over the years has made it all possible for us to live the lifestyle that we do. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I love you. We love you.”
