While speaking to ReMind magazine in June 2025, Ward shared details about his screen test for the beloved series, which ran for three seasons until 1968. According to Ward, he and West, who played Bruce Wayne/Batman, immediately hit it off.
In addition, Wade shared that "not once did any director ask [him] or Adam how to deliver [their] lines" during the show's 120-episode run.
Wade and West reprised their iconic roles as Robin and Batman in the animated feature, Batman vs. Two-Face, which was released a year after West's 2017 death.
"It's a lot of fun. It has Adam West's voice as Batman. It has my voice as Robin. And we have playing Two-Face, none other than William Shatner. So you've got the two most iconic shows in TV history, Batman and Star Trek, with the actors working together," said Wade during the 2018 interview.
