Notre Dame offensive lineman Charles Jagusah was involved in a UTV accident this weekend, the program has announced.
Per Notre Dame, Jagusah has undergone surgery to repair left humerus fracture. The injury occurred in Wyoming on July 5. He’s set to return to campus this week and has a “favorable” initial prognosis per Notre Dame.

— Pete Sampson (@PeteSampson_) July 6, 2025With the season starting in less than 2 months, it’s unclear at this time if Jagusah will be able to return to full participation before Week 1. The Fighting Irish are set to begin fall camp in the coming weeks and his status for those practices could be in doubt as well.
This is not Jagusah’s first major injury at Notre Dame. Last fall, Jagusah was slated to be Notre Dame’s starting left tackle when he suffered an upper-body injury that knocked him out for the entire regular season. Jagusah ended up returning to Notre Dame during its College Football Playoff run, mostly playing guard.
Entering 2025, Jagusah is once again expected to slot in at guard for the Fighting Irish. Anthonie Knapp and Aamil Wagner are currently expected to start at tackle for Notre Dame this fall. If Jagusah does miss time, redshirt sophomores Sullivan Absher and Chris Terek would be in line as potential replacements.
Notre Dame has a tough schedule in 2025 that includes Miami, Texas A&M, Arkansas, Boise State and USC, amongst others.
