At Least 51 Dead, 27 Girls Missing in Wake of Catastrophic Texas Floods

“Eventually when we got that news we were all kind of hysterical and the whole cabin was praying a lot and terrified – but not for ourselves,” Thompson said.

Authorities have mobilized extensive search efforts employing helicopters, drones, and rescue teams in their frantic attempt to locate those missing . The situation is further complicated by the emotional toll on families awaiting news about their loved ones.
