That led some to believe that Tyler would never perform again, but he’s been doing occasional one-off performances, including his highest-profile performance since the injury on Saturday, July 5 at the “Back to the Beginning” Ozzy Osbourne-Black Sabbath farewell concert in Birmingham, England.
Video shared on Aerosmith’s Instagram Stories showed Tyler performing the band’s classic 1977 hit “Walk This Way” and a cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Whole Lotta Love” backed by an all-star band featuring Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello and producer Andrew Watt on guitars and Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Travis Barker of Blink-182 on drums.

“wait...didn't you cancel my Aerosmith show because you couldn't sing?...” asked one fan.
“I just looked it up. He can sing, but his doctors say that a full recovery from his injury is not possible,” one added.
“A couple of one-off shows here and there are vastly different than having to do nearly 2-hour sets almost every night for a tour,” another fan reasoned.
Others, however, were hopeful this was the beginning of a full-on comeback.
Another added, “Steven Tyler is aging like fine wine ?, just getting better with time.??.”
