Jake Paul could lose his WBA cruiserweight rankings days after entering the top 15.
Paul was given a No.14 rating at 200lbs after beating former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr via unanimous decision last weekend in Anaheim, California.

On paper, Chavez Jr was Paul’s best victory of his fledgling 12-1 pro career, although the Mexican wasn’t ranked by the WBA heading into the contest and hadn’t had a notable win in multiple years.
The WBA’s decision didn’t go down well with several members of the boxing fraternity.
Notably, talkSPORT’s Spencer Oliver, who made his thoughts known during a recent taping of the talkBOXING podcast.
“He does not deserve a ranking off boxing, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, going off this performance,” said Oliver.
“Chavez Jr did not do anything for eight rounds; he literally covered up.
“We saw a little something in round nine, then in round ten, he decides to open up and do something. I don’t like it…
“He’s getting better, of course he’s getting better.
“But you can’t beat Julio Cesar Chavez Jr and then get a world ranking and get a world title shot.
“They’re talking about Badou Jack, and timing could be good there, but come on.
GettyHis ranking is now at risk with the sanctioning body set to review his position in the coming weeks[/caption]“Where’s the respect in this sport for anyone that gets ranked off a decision like this…
“Yes, it is an entertainment business, but come on.
“(There’s) kids that work their a**** off and get in there and have been putting themselves in that position.
“You can’t just go, ‘because you’ve got a huge online presence that you get a world title shot’ because that makes a mockery of the sport.”
Paul is yet to beat a world-ranked boxer as a professional
Tommy Fury briefly held a top 40 rating with the WBC, but he defeated ‘The Problem Child’ via split decision.
Prior to his win over Chavez Jr, Paul bested a 58-year-old Mike Tyson, while the rest of his résumé is made up of former UFC fighters, low-level pro boxers, and influencers.
