On Saturday, July 5, the actress behind Dr. Amelia Shepherd took to Instagram with three snapshots and a bold declaration.
"The America that I still believe in has healthcare for all," Scorsone, 43, captioned her update, which notably included a snap of Pippa in a hospital bed. "It understands that economies have historically existed to provide for the people, rather than people existing -or ceasing to exist, to provide for the needs of bloated and exploitative economies."
Although she didn't specifically mention it, President Donald Trumpsigned the "big beautiful bill" into law on July 4, making major cuts to Medicaid, SNAP and more.
