SEC speed is alive and well.
EA Sports is gearing up for its release of College Football 26 later this month. According to On3, there are a total of 4 players who earned a 99 speed rating for the game’s initial release with 3 coming from the SEC.
The list includes South Carolina wide receiver Nyck Harbor, LSU wide receiver Barion Brown and Arkansas wide receiver Jordan Anthony. UCLA cornerback Rodrick Pleasant was the only other player in the country to earn a 99 speed rating from EA for this year’s game.
Harbor is a former 5-star recruit who, despite having elite speed, has yet to live up to that lofty billing. He had a career-high 376 receiving yards in 2026.
Brown is a Kentucky transfer who is expected to start for LSU in 2025 this season alongside Oklahoma transfer Nic Anderson. Brown has long been lauded for his blazing speed but he has yet to eclipse 700 yards in a single season for his career.
Anthony earned his 99 speed rating without much production to speak of. He’s played for 3 SEC programs (Kentucky, Texas A&M and now Arkansas) and has just 125 yards and 1 touchdown in his career.
Texas A&M cornerback Julian Humphrey, LSU wide receive Jelani Watkins, Georgia wide receiver Zachariah Branch and Kentucky wide receiver Kendrick Law also made the top-10, giving the SEC 7 of the 10 fastest players in College Football 26.
College Football 26 will be released on July 10.
