DENVER (KDVR) -- ESPN reported that the Denver Nuggets are trading Michael Porter Jr., along with an unprotected 2032 first-round pick, to the Brooklyn Nets for Cam Johnson.

ESPN said it learned the news through unspecified sources on Monday.

ESPN Senior NBA Insider Shams Charania also said that Bruce Brown Jr., a free agent who played for the Nuggets when they won the 2023 NBA Championships, agreed to return to Denver in a one-year deal.

"Almost 1.5 hours into free agency, the Nuggets land Cam Johnson via trade for Michael Porter Jr. and bring back a fan favorite and do-it-all forward in Bruce Brown Jr.," Charania said in a post on X.

Porter Jr., also known as MPJ, wore No. 1 as a forward for the Denver Nuggets. He was the 14th pick in the first round of the 2018 draft, according to his player page on the NBA website.

Johnson, who wore No. 2 as a forward for the Brooklyn Nets, was drafted as the 11th pick in the first round of the 2019 draft, according to the NBA website.

The ESPN website already lists Johnson as a small forward for the Denver Nuggets and Porter Jr. as a forward for the Brooklyn Nets.

Free agent Bruce Brown Jr. has agreed to a one-year deal with the Denver Nuggets, sources tell ESPN. The 2023 NBA champion for the Nuggets returns to Denver. CAA's Ty Sullivan and Steven Heumann finalized the deal tonight with the Nuggets.
