After a flop show in the first match, India U-19 skipper Ayush Mhatre slipped to a new low, as he suffered a first ball duck in the second ODI vs England U-19, on Monday, in Hove. The CSK opener, who was mighty impressive in IPL 2025, was removed by much easy by AM French, and castled the Indian. This performance came after Mhatre had scored 21 in the first encounter, that the team won by six wickets.
Ayush Mhatre Disappoints, Vaibhav Survanshi Shines
On the other hand, 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi continued to impress and slammed 34-ball 45, including three sixes and five fours. This performance comes after the RR batter had played a whirlwind innings of 48 runs from 19 deliveries in the first match. Meanwhile, this is a full-fledged U-19 tour that the Indian team is participating in.
Apart from five ODIs, the team will also play 2 Tests, from July 12 to 23. Ayush Mhatre will continue to lead the side in the longest-format too, after the completion of the white-ball series.
