(KRON) – The Alameda County Sheriff’s Office asks for assistance in an 18-year-old cold case.
Gary Wayne Jones was fatally shot while he was buying gas at ABE gas station in the intersection of Mission and Lewelling boulevards in Hayward on June 28, 2007. Investigators believe Jones was also robbed.

The suspect was described as being around 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet tall. The suspect was also described as having long and dark hair.
