TONY HAWK shot skateboarding into the mainstream after landing the first-ever “900” at the historic X Games in 1999.

And now the very board Hawk landed the move on 26 years ago in San Francisco has gone up for auction.

And like a vintage Michael Jordan NBA Jersey or classic trading cards, the board is expected to fetch a fair sum.

Hawk, 57, has created a money-spinning empire off the back of the fame he rose to when he landed the first documented 900 on that fateful day on June 27, including video games, clothing and brand endorsements.

The 900 itself is a 2½-revolution (900 degrees) aerial spin performed on a skateboard ramp, which Hawk landed before declaring: “This is the best day of my life.”

He achieved the feat riding on the Birdhouse “Falcon 2”.

The historic board has been outfitted with Fury brand trucks and unmarked wheels for its upcoming auction, hosted by Julien’s Auctions in collaboration with Hawk himself.

It is the headline piece of the “900 collection” featuring nearly 100 skating culture artifacts.

The auction house mentions: “Items that are virtually irreplaceable given their direct association with this iconic moment in skateboarding history.”

Other items up for sale include the helmet, knee pads, sneakers and credential passes worn and used by Hawk on the day.

The collection will go on sale on September 23 this year.

It is estimated the board alone could be sold for between $500,000 and $700,000.

Hawk, nicknamed the Birdman, has an estimated net worth of $140million.

Earlier this month, a famous skateboarding space under Brooklyn Bridge loved by Hawk reopened after 15 years.

Skateboarding debuted at the Olympics in Tokyo 2020 and returned for the Paris Games in 2024, with Hawk in attendance as Keegan Palmer in the Men’s Park and Arisa Trew in the Women’s Park won Gold.

The sport is set to return for the 2028 Games being held in Los Angeles and is expected to be held at the Sepulveda Basin Recreation Area in the San Fernando Valley.

It is the second largest urban park in LA and home to both indoor and outdoor sports facilities.

Archery, BMX Racing and BMX Freestyle will join skateboarding at the location for the LA Games.
