So, the TIE Fighter’s iconic panel wings can go on the long body of an X-Wing fighter, and the “X” wings of that ship can go on the spherical cockpit of the TIE Fighter. Why can the iconic Imperial ship and the well-known Rebel ship trade spaces or wings? Well, that’s kind of the point of LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy.That four-part miniseries came out on Disney+ last year and follows nerf herder Sig Greebling as he finds a Jedi relic that rewrites history. This creates a Dark Millennium Falcon and Darth Jar Jar (a Sith Lord version of Jar Jar Binks, which has been a funny fan invention for years). Both cockpits on these LEGO builds open up and you can fit minifigure pilots in either. And even when mashing them up, both fighters have two spring-loaded shooters. Plus, they’re easy to build and meant for ages nine and up.
