The i Paper asked 13 children for their (very honest) thoughts on Glastonbury festival so far.
It is Quinn (left) and Wren’s (right) first ever Glastonbury and they are finding the crowd very friendly
Quinn: We arrived on Friday morning, it is our first ever Glastonbury. We were allowed off school by our headmistress – she said it is a life experience. I would give it a 9.5 out of 10 because of the smell of the toilets and I can’t feel my shoulders from carrying my bag. But it is great and I enjoyed the hash browns the most – while my friends were doing maths at school I was eating hash browns. I’m also looking forward to seeing my guitar teacher play – he is performing.
‘It is very overwhelming – it is a shock’
Lena, 12, and Lucy, 16, from Somerset
It is Lena’s (left) 10th Glastonbury in a row, and Lucy’s (right) first GlastonburyLucy: This is my first ever Glastonbury – I’ve just finished my GCSE exams so I’m off for summer holidays. I’m loving the atmosphere but it is very overwhelming, there is a shock factor. I’m looking forward to Charli XCX, Olivia Rodrigo, Wet Leg, Gracie Abrams. I’d give it a 9 too.
Tilly, Harry and Hugh (left to right) love the food and give the festival 10 out of 10

Hugh: There have been lots of highlights already. Seeing carhenge [an area of the site decorated with scrap metal sculptures] but the toilets are the worst bit. I would deduct a point from my score because of those. The Helter Skelter in the Kids Field was a low point for me, I’m scared of heights and changed my mind at the top…
Tilly: My highlight is the churros. And the pizza.
‘It is very boiling and very loud’
It is Tristan (left) and Lia’s (right) first Glastonbury and they don’t like the smell of the toilets
Tristan: This is our first Glastonbury. We are finding it great so far. I went to see a band at 10 o’clock in the night. But I don’t like the smell of the toilets. It loses a point for the toilets and the heat. Kids don’t have to pay to get in here but once you’re in, [the adults] spend like thousands.
Roux, 9 (very nearly 10) and Cassius, 7, from Taunton
Cassius (left) and Roux (right) enjoy the performances as well as the costumesCassius: My favourite thing is all the costumes, I love them, and the games [for children]. I also like the crepes, I had Nutella and banana filling and also a cinnamon doughnut. I would give Glastonbury a 10/10 but I didn’t sleep at night because mummy was coughing.
‘My best bit is the Nutella crepes’
Harry’s mother attended Glastonbury when she was pregnant with him, and Ruby has no criticism of the festival
Harry: I’ve been nine times – the first when I was in my mum’s belly. And then I came again at six months old. We arrived yesterday, we got home from school a little bit early and then drove straight here. It is quite hot but that is better than rain – our parents got wet putting the tents up but we didn’t have to do it. My best bit is the Nutella crepes. I’m giving the festival 10 out of 10.
Ruby: I’m really looking forward to Lewis Capaldi because he is rumoured. My highlight is everything – I have no criticism at all.
