AUSTIN (KXAN) — An 18-wheeler crash caused a portion of northbound U.S. 183 to shut down after the semi truck jackknifed and blocked the highway.

According to APD, one person was taken to the hospital following the crash, but there was no information on their injury status.

The Austin Police Department said the crash occurred at 4:55 a.m. near McNeil Drive in northwest Austin.
