HORNELLSVILLE, N.Y. — A person is in custody after a police chase on Thursday that started in Brighton crossed multiple counties, ending about 70 miles away in Steuben County.
The chase involved New York State Police and deputies from Monroe, Livingston, and Steuben counties. Police began the chase on I-390 in Brighton and it continued across Livingston County, before ending in the next county over in Hornellsville. News10NBC’s photojournalist saw the chase end in a field near State Route 36.
Livingston County sheriff’s deputies confirmed that no one was injured during the chase. Later, the suspected driver was injured by a dog bite. Deputies say charges are pending against the driver.
