As Aaron Rodgers celebrates his new marriage, he revealed the hostility within his immediate family continues to rage on.
Rodgers, 41, appeared on ESPN’s The Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday, June 24, where he discussed his wife, Brittani, for the first time since he announced they had tied the knot recently.
In doing so, Rodgers mentioned his family, saying “I don’t talk to” them.
“They wouldn’t know any information about me,” Rodgers said.

The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback insinuated that his family doesn’t know the identity of his wife, which goes for the general public, as well.
During his appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers said his wife wants to be “a private person” and called interest in his marriage “so f***ing ridiculous and embarrassing.”
Drama within the Rodgers family has been long simmering, with tension between Rodgers, his parents, Ed and Darla, and his two brothers, Jordan and Luke, lingering for over a decade.
Aaron discussed the falling out with his family in depth in last year’s Netflix docuseries, Aaron Rodgers: Enigma.
“I grew up in a very white, dogmatic church and that just didn’t really serve me,” Aaron said of his upbringing. “It was very rigid in structure [and] I’m not a rigid person. Shame, guilt, judgment — it was like, ‘We have the truth, our way or the highway. Our way is heaven, your way is hell.’”
Aaron also explained how fame eventually came to play a role in creating distance between him and his family.
Courtesy of Luke Rodgers/Instagram“There were a lot of times, when I became real famous, where I heard from a lot of people, including family members, where it was like, ‘Your life is too big, we need you to be smaller. Be smaller, don’t talk about your life,’” Aaron said in the series. “It always hurt, me because I just feel like you don’t see me. This is not something I ever desired or wanted, other than playing on Sundays.”
Aaron’s relationship with Jordan, 36, reached a major breach when Jordan appeared on the 12th season of The Bachelorette in 2016, where he ultimately got engaged to his now-wife, JoJo Fletcher.
In Enigma, Aaron said he had no desire to discuss his relationship with Jordan “publicly.”
All the Clues About the Identity of Aaron Rodgers' New Mystery Wife
“What do they do? They go on a bulls— show and leave two empty chairs,” Aaron said, referring to two seats left for himself and his then-girlfriend, Olivia Munn.
Aaron added, “They all agreed this was a good thing to do, to leave two empty chairs at a stupid dating show that my brother just went on to get famous — his words, not mine. That he ended up winning. But a dinner that was during the season, I was never asked to go to. Not that I would’ve gone.”
As for Aaron’s falling out with his older brother Luke, 42, biographer Ian O’Connor revealed in his 2024 book, Out of the Darkness: The Mystery of Aaron Rodgers, that it largely stemmed from Aaron pulling out of being the best man in his former college teammate Francis Blay-Miezah’s wedding the night before the 2015 ceremony.
O’Connor wrote that Luke and his parents attended the wedding, with Luke posting photos from the event alongside hashtags “#truefriendsshowup, #wouldntmissitfortheworld and #rememberwhereyoucamefrom.”
