Moonwalker is a series of short films centered on the entertainer, many of which are extended music videos from his 1987 album Bad. The film’s segments are loosely connected by a narrative reflecting the different stages of the King of Pop's career.

"He should have covered 'Maxwell's Silver Hammer' as well," declared a third fan of their wish that Jackson would have covered The Beatles' Abbey Road classic. "I can’t listen to the original anymore because MJ’s truly is better," a fourth penned.
Jackson subsequently struck a landmark deal with Sony, selling a 50% stake of the group's catalog for $95 million. The partnership formed Sony/ATV, a powerhouse in the music industry that now controls the rights to not only The Beatles’ catalog, but also songs by legends like Bob Dylan, Marvin Gaye, Roy Orbison.
Beginning October 2018, the copyrights for some of The Beatles' earliest songs went to McCartney. Others are reportedly up for reversal in 2026. Sony Music continues to hold rights related to the band's music, along with Universal Music Group.
Michael Jackson died on June 25, 2009, at 50. He is a father to Paris, Prince, and Bigi Jackson.
