Japan upper house election to be held on July 20 (Japanese media report)

The 2025 Japanese House of Councillors election was scheduled to be held by July 22, so July 20 seemed pretty much lcoked in.

It's a half-election for the upper house, with 124 of the 248 seats up for grabs

the ruling LDP-Komeito coalition must retain at least 125 seats to maintain its majority in the upper house.
