Oklahoma made a huge addition to its 2026 recruiting class on Monday evening.

The Sooners landed a commitment from 4-star edge Daniel Norman, who will fittingly begin his college career at Oklahoma next fall. Norman is from Fort Lauderdale and was heavily-recruited by the likes of Miami and Colorado prior to picking the Sooners.

He shared his commitment with On3’s Hayes Fawcett:

Norman is currently regarded as a 3-star prospect, although he is close to being upgraded to blue-chip status. He’s the No. 447 overall player and the No. 32 edge in the country for the class of 2026, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 62 player from the state of Florida.

Norman is the 13th player to commit to Oklahoma in this class. He picked up an offer from OU a couple of weeks ago before quickly deciding to pick the Sooners.

Norman attends St. Thomas Aquinas High School, which is one of the top high school football programs in the entire country. That school has produced numerous current and former NFL players, including ex-Oklahoma linebacker Nick Bonitto.
