A POPULAR fast food chain is giving McDonald’s a run for its money, bringing back a beloved smokey and savory breakfast sandwich.
As Hardee’s brings back its Smoked Sausage, Egg and Cheese Biscuit, fans will be able to get their hands on the breakfast sandwich for a limited time – and at a cheaper price point than McDonald’s iconic sandwich.

The chain has officially brought back its popular Smoked Sausage, Egg and Cheese Biscuit for a limited time.
The biscuit sandwich is made with a Hillshire Farm smoked sausage link, egg, American cheese, and a Hardee’s famous Made from Scratch Biscuit.
“This hearty breakfast item is crafted to satisfy hunger with its rich, smoky flavor,” according to a press release, adding that the menu addition would be available at Hardee’s through August 19.
Hardee’s Smoked Sausage, Egg and Cheese Biscuit will run customers roughly $4.99, a tasty dupe for the beloved McDonald’s Sausage Egg & Cheese Biscuit.
The latter breakfast sandwich costs around $7.89 or $10.69 in a meal, and the similar Sausage Egg Cheese McGriddle costs roughly $5.65.
SAD FAREWELL
The Smoked Sausage Egg & Cheese Biscuit at Hardee’s was a fan-favorite on the chain’s menu.
“For the uninformed and uninitiated, the Smoked Sausage, Egg and Cheese Biscuit from Hardee’s is top tier,” praised one fan on X.
“Hardee’s Smoked Sausage Egg & Cheese Biscuit is a hard 10/10,” said another.
The beloved breakfast sandwich was previously discontinued for years to the dismay of fans, who expressed their disappointment on online.
“The Smoked Sausage Egg and Cheese Biscuit was the thing getting us through Monday but no you discontinued it,” cried one fan.
“BRING IT BACK PLEASE.”
“When you reach to the bottom of the bag and don’t see a Hardee’s Smoked Sausage Egg and Cheese Biscuit BECAUSE THEY DISCONTINUED IT. Please bring it back I’m begging,” pleaded another customer.
MORE MENU MOVES
In addition to the Smoked Sausage, Egg and Cheese Biscuit, Hardee’s is rolling out the BBQ Pulled Pork Frisco to its menu.
Part of its signature Frisco lineup, the savory sandwich “creates a unique multi-layered flavor experience” and is also available through August 19.
