They each give users unlimited phone calls and texting, along with high-speed internet connection.
The plans level up in stages, each one offering more perks than the last.
The first plan, called Starter Monthly, is the most basic of the upcoming schemes, offering 15GB of high-speed data.
The plan also includes unlimited talk and text, all wrapped in at $40 per month.
It is important to note that the first month will cost $45.
The second plan, Unlimited Monthly, takes a massive step up from there.
Unlimited Monthly is described as the “sweet-spot plan”, including everything from Starter Monthly, except you get access to 5G data.
This plan also gives you unlimited hotspot data at 3G speeds.
It also comes at a $5 lower price per month than it was before, coming in at $45 and $50 for the first month.
This makes it the lowest price and unlimited single plan among major providers.
THE FINAL PLAN
The third and final plan is Unlimited Plus Monthly, which adds even more perks than Unlimited Monthly.
This time, along with unlimited talk, texting and 5G, the 3G hotspot data comes in at 5G speeds.
The main advantage of this plan is the international benefits.
Cellular Sales
Here’s what Joy Dumandan, Consumer Editor with The U.S. Sun, has to say…
T-Mobile is making moves again in the cellular space.
On May 1, 2024, the company announced, “The deal is done!” in reference to its acquisition of Ka’ena Corporation.
The $1.35 billion deal included Mint Mobile.
Mint is a company backed by actor Ryan Reynolds.
Reynolds said he’ll continue his creative role on behalf of Mint.
In April 2020, T-Mobile merged with Sprint. At the time, the deal said it would “deliver a transformative 5G network.”
This time around, T-Mobile’s acquisition of US Cellular touts it as the “country’s largest and fastest 5G network.”
There’s a twist.
Earlier this month, The Wall Street Journal reported on T-Mobile and Verizon both in talks to buy parts of US Cellular.
Now that T-Mobile swooped in, any hope for Verizon to purchase a part appears to be dashed.
T-Mobile’s acquisition of US Cellular must get regulatory approvals, but the companies expect to close in 2025.
Primarily, it includes unlimited talk and text to the US while roaming in Mexico and Canada.
You also get unlimited texting from the US to over 215 international destinations.
For all of this, you will be charged $60 monthly and $65 for the first month of your contract.
If you’re a family of four that switches to this plan, you save 15% ever month compared to similar ones from AT&T and Verizon, according to the website.
Being on a T-Mobile prepaid plan gets you access to weekly perks from T-Mobile Tuesdays, including MLS Season Pass on Us and a free season-long subscription of MLB.TV.
You also get free in-flight Wi-Fi with Delta and exclusive hotel and rental car perks.
