ROCHESTER, N.Y. – A New York State Police car was hit after a person took off during a traffic stop on St. Paul Street in Rochester where a 19-year-old was detained.
State police say at around 2:30 p.m. Thursday, they stopped a 2025 Mazda SUV on St. Paul Street, where they detained Nashon Wade.
While detaining Wade, police say the passenger took control of the Mazda and left the scene, hitting a state police patrol car as they fled.
The car was later found on Dale Street with nobody in it, according to police.
No injuries were reported and this investigation is still ongoing. This story will be updated as News10NBC learns more.
