Sri Lanka cricket team managed to fight back on Day 3 of SL vs BAN 1st Test in Galle, with Pathum Nissanka waging a lone-warrior battle. The hosts were put into bat on Day 3 after Bangladesh were bowled out for 495 runs in their 1st innings. While Sri Lanka have managed to reduce the trail margin by a good number, the game seems to be heading towards a draw.

Nissanka only silver lining in cloud for SL

Lahiru Udana (29) was the first batter to depart on Day 3 as he was caught and bowled by Taijul Islam in the 13th over. The opener managed to stitch a 47-run partnership with Nissanka before he was sent packing. Nissanka continued to put up a strong fight, first by getting to his century in the 43rd over followed by his 150 in the 64th over. Eventually, he was dismissed for187 runs, falling short of what was a well-deserved double century.
