PRISON medics allegedly tried to kill R Kelly in a murder-for-hire plot, his lawyers have claimed.
The disgraced R&B singer, 58, was rushed to the hospital yesterday after overdosing on medication in prison.

The musician, born Robert Sylvester Kelly, is serving a 30-year prison sentence after being convicted in 2021 on racketeering and sex trafficking charges in New York.
Kelly was put into solitary confinement on June 10 and locked up with anxiety medication, according to his attorney, Beau B. Brindley.
He was given further medications and directed to take them, according to the filing seen by The Sun.
However, three days later, Kelly reported feeling “faint” and “dizzy.”
His attorneys accused prison officials of throwing him in isolation as punishment for filing an emergency motion.
The singer reported seeing “black spots in his vision” before he passed out and was rushed to Duke University Hospital on Friday.
While in the ambulance, Kelly claims to have heard one of the prison officers say, “This is going to open a whole new can of worms,” according to court documents.
Kelly’s legal team alleged his ill health was the result of being given dangerously high quantities of medication.
While at the hospital, medical personnel also found blood clots in Kelly’s legs and lungs, and planned to hold the singer for surgery, Brindley said in his filing.
Instead, prison officials removed Kelly from the hospital and hauled him back to the prison, placing him in solitary confinement, according to the motion.
Kelly’s defence attorney filed the motion on June 10, asking for his immediate release to escape an alleged murder-for-hire plot by prison officials and another inmate.
While behind bars, Kelly allegedly received a phone call from a Bureau of Prisons official who advised him to “avoid the mess hall”, claiming the potential for “poisoned meals and commissary goods.”
The unidentified Bureau of Prisons officials also implied to Kelly that his life was in danger, according to the motion.
The disgraced singer’s legal team also submitted a sworn statement from a terminally ill inmate, Mikeal Glenn Stine, who they alleged is the leader of the Aryan Brotherhood.
Stine alleged that prison officials offered him his freedom in exchange for killing Kelly, according to the emergency motion.
The alleged gang leader said that after killing Kelly, he would be transferred to another prison facility, where he would be allowed to escape and remain free, the motion read.
Stine claimed he was ready to carry out the murder and approached Kelly’s housing area in March before turning back at the last minute.
He then came forward and spoke out about the plan that was allegedly plotted by Bureau of Prisons officials.
PROSECUTORS SLAM KELLY’S PLEA
Federal prosecutors slammed Kelly’s pleas, arguing to an Illinois district judge that the Supreme Court declined to hear the jailed singer’s appeal of his conviction and sentence.
“Robert Kelly is a prolific child molester,” Assistant US Attorney Jason Julien wrote.
“He is unapologetic about it. Kelly has never taken responsibility for his years of sexually abusing children, and he probably never will.
“In fact, in March of this year, Kelly took part in a social media challenge by releasing a new song from prison, in which, when referencing his incarceration, he sang, among other things, ‘Though I’m in this place, I know I don’t deserve this, no….’
“Kelly’s current motion is indicative of precisely this sentiment. A jury of Kelly’s peers convicted him.”
Judge Martha Pacold is scheduled to hear Kelly’s issue on Friday.
