Sam Reinhart scored four goals for the Panthers in the win, while Matthew Tkachuk also scored.
Oilers forward Vasily Podkolzin scored late in the third period to spoil Sergei Bobrovsky’s shutout.
Last year, the Panthers defeated the Oilers in seven games to win the first Stanley Cup in franchise history.
