Brady is often asked who he looks up to the most and his answer is always the same — his dad Tom Brady Sr.
Fox posted a clip of Brady choking up in tears when describing his mentor to mark Father’s Day.
“I think my dad is my hero, because he’s somebody I look up to every day,” said the emotional quarterback in the old clip.
Brady celebrated the occasion with an emotional Instagram post including pictures of his parents and children.
“Happy Father’s Day to my dad who taught me everything about what it means to be a father,” he wrote. “And to all the dads out there that who are great role models to their kids.”
“My dad has always been my biggest supporter, my best friend, and my No. 1 teacher not just in sports but in life.
“The values he passed on to our family — hard work, integrity, compassion, and unconditional love, shaped me in every way.”
Brady sat down with ESPN to discuss parenting in 2022 and broke down as he admitted he wants to follow his own father’s example.
“When I think about being a dad, I think about him. Because of what my dad meant to me,” he said. “I know I’m not as good as dad to my kids that my dad’s been to me.

Brady dominated football for two decades after using his fall into the sixth round of the NFL Draft as motivation.
He wants his three children to find their own passions but hopes they can avoid the obsession he displays.
“What I really want for them is to find something they love like I have,” he added. “But I have taken it to an extreme too, there are imbalances in my life and I hope they don’t take things as far as I’ve taken them.
“I want them to find great success in whatever they do but there’s a torment in me that I don’t wish upon them.”

Brady has a son Benjamin and daughter Vivian with his ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen.
He also has a son called John ‘Jack’ Edward Thomas from a previous relationship with actress Bridget Moynahan.
The football icon admitted that his decision to sign up for Netflix’s now-infamous roast took a heavy toll on his children.
“I loved when the jokes were about me. I thought they were so fun,” he said. “I didn’t like the way that affected my kids.
