Usain Bolt will have excited fans with new footage of him back on the running track.

The Jamaican superstar retired in 2017 following a glittering career in which he became widely regarded as the greatest sprinter of all-time.

With eight Olympic gold medals across the 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay events, Bolt dominated on the world stage.

He hasn’t raced since the 2017 World Championships when he pulled up injured on the final straight of the 4x100m relay.

And despite being absent for eight years, he may well have teased a return with a recent upload on his Instagram.

Bolt was in Oslo for the Bislett Games, which is part of the Diamond League, and met Julien Alfred after her women’s 100m win.

Seemingly missing the thrill of the track, the 38-year-old posted a video of him doing a practice start.

“Talk to me my peeps.. unnu think I still got it?” his caption read as the footage shows his legendary pace despite being in slow motion.

Former rival Justin Gatlin appeared pleased to see Bolt back to what he does best.

“I told you that you was going to get the itch,” the former American sprinter commented on the post.

Bolt won ten of his eight 100m races against Gatlin, who he previously called his toughest rivals throughout his iconic career.

He also once revealed how Gatlin spat across his lane just before they competed against each other for the first time.

Last year, Bolt told talkSPORT about an offer he received to come out of retirement and race again.

The 100m world record holder with 9.58 seconds said: “I think the CEO at the time, he’s with Adidas now, but at the time he was like, ‘Listen, we’ll give you a proper contract if you want to come back.’

“I talked to my coach [Glen Mills], my coach was like, ‘Absolutely not’. It was like two years after I retired.

“But my coach told me, ‘Listen, if you’re going to retire, that’s it. I’m not going to coach you again, this is it. There’s no coming back after this.’

“So when I went to him he was like, ‘No, absolutely not.’ I was like, ‘You know what? I would do it’, because when you go away from a sport, then you start missing it.

“So I’m like, ‘I think I might get into it again,’ and I went to [my coach] and he was like, ‘Nah,’ shut it down real quick.”
