On June 5, Badham spoke about her career at the MidSouth Nostalgia Festival in Olive Branch, Miss., revealing how Peck, known for roles in hit films like Roman Holidayand Spellbound, became a father figure to her throughout her life, via Remind Magazine.
"What you see up on the screen is what we got at home," she stated, noting how every weekend during production on the film "I would go to the Peck house to spend time with them. I always called him Atticus, and he always called me Scout. He really became a father figure for me, he and his wife, Veronique."
The 72-year-old explained that the familial relationship also extended to Peck's kids, sons Stephen, Carey and Anthony, and daughter Cecilia, saying, "Still, when I go to LA and don’t have a place to stay, I stay with his kids.”
Peck welcomed Anthony and Cecilia with his second wife Veronique, who he was with until his death, while he welcomed Stephen, Carey, and an older son named Jonathan, who passed away in 1975, with his first wife, Greta Kukkonen.
