Ninth arrest made in Catawba County mass shooting case ...Middle East

CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- Another suspect has been arrested in connection with the mass shooting that turned a house party into a deadly scene in Catawba County.

Charles Rodell Kincaid III has been arrested for one count of attempted first-degree murder.

This offense is connected to the alleged crimes Garon Killian, Toland Huff, Zachary Bates, Ke’andre Mack, and Izaiah Mitchell have been charged with.

This marks the latest development in a growing list of arrests and charges connected to the incident, which left one man dead and 11 others injured after more than 80 shots were fired into a crowd of partygoers. The party, attended by nearly 100 people, happened on June 1.

Detectives said that while each of the accused shooters might have had different motivations, in general, they were targeting the entire crowd at the house party.

No information concerning Kincaid’s bond or first appearance date is available at this time.
