FORT BRAGG, N.C. (WNCN) – President Donald Trump is set to pay a visit to Fort Bragg on Tuesday to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army.
Trump is visiting alongside U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and Army Secretary Dan Driscoll to join service members, veterans, military families and community members to commemorate the occasion.
Organizers said this event will feature a ceremony honoring past and present service members, live demonstrations showcasing the operational capabilities of today’s military, as well as musical performances accompanied by remarks from senior military leaders.

The president’s arrival at Fort Bragg precedes a military parade that’s slated to be held in Washington, D.C., on Saturday, which is also his 79th birthday.
Fort Bragg has been in the middle of a cultural tug-of-war over the military. It was named after a Confederate general, then renamed to Fort Liberty two years ago.
